AUS AFRICA was co-founded in September 2008 by Chris Landman and Robert Hoare. From the company’s inception individuals were carefully selected with their own unique qualities and skill sets, it is with these attributes that structured the formidable team we have today, offering over 140 years of combined experience in the bearing industry.

CHRIS LANDMAN

CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Chris started out in the bearing industry in her twenties and dared to form her own company in her early thirties, challenging then a traditionally male orientated and dominant industry. She surpassed her own successes to become winner of the “Lady Entrepreneur of the Year 2001” award and “Business Achiever of the Year 2OO2” award (in the R20 Million category). For a period of 21 years, Chris owned and successfully managed her own company in the bearing industry, which she sold in 2006. ln 2008, Chris co-founded AUS AFRICA. ln total, Chris has over 48 years of invaluable experience and knowledge.

ROBERT HOARE

CO-FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Prior to immigrating to South Africa, Robert served in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for a period of 17 years. Upon leaving the ADF in 2004, Robert was accredited in Level 3 Business Management, Level 2 Resource Management and Level 4 Operational Planning. Before co-founding AUS AFRICA in 2008, he acquired his knowledge in the bearing industry as an Administration and Logistics Manager for a period of 5 years.

MANAGEMENT

AILEEN GUEST – General Manager, Prior to joining AUS AFRICA, Aileen successfully managed her own company for a period of 10 years. Aileen reports to the Board of Directors of the Company and works closely with the Directors and supporting staff. Aileen takes responsibility for the administration and financial management as well as supervising sales and service. The Directors have recognized Aileen’s high standards, accountability, self-motivation, integrity and excellence in executing her duties and entrusted her decision making capabilities. Aileen is an asset to the Company on all levels.

NERENE STAPELBERG – lnternal Sales, has been involved in the bearing industry for the past 35 years and is experienced in lmporting and Exporting. Nerene’s excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner have resulted in her proven track record of successful sales.

CINDY BENZINGER – External and Freelance Sales, has understudied Chris Landman and has been involved in the bearing industry for the past 35 years. Cindy’s skills in evaluating client needs and building productive long lasting relationships are invaluable in building the company’s loyal client base.

HERCULES WEYERS – Engineering Consultant, Hercules has 35 years of Engineering experience over a broad spectrum of industries which include Manufacturing, Engineering, Automotive, Saw Milling and Steel Production. His technical knowledge is invaluable when it comes to assisting and advising clients on design and application. Hercules is totally committed to delivering excellence in customer satisfaction.

Lorato has sat as an advisor to The United Nations, The South African Presidency, The Sudanese Referendum, and is an active member of SAWID, an inclusive, non-partisan, not for profit women’s organisation that aims to represent the voices of South African women on all platforms where decisions are made that impact their lives, and amongst others, advising them on community development and upliftment.

As an Entrepreneur, Community Leader and Healer, Lorato brings a wealth of knowledge when it comes to mentoring and coaching people to reach their full potential. Lorato is known as a thought leader and an inspirer of action.

Lorato has a rich background and history in South Africa focusing on and for community development, her passion has always been and remains the upliftment of disadvantaged rural communities. She is the Founder and Chairperson of Ingizweni Initiative Program, an NPO dedicated to assisting disadvantaged rural communities to reach their full potential. Lorato has always understood that the key to success of any community is through the emotional healing of that community. Lorato has been doing Social Impact work for over 35 years.

Lorato has associated herself with the World-Renowned O & O Academy in India. The O & O Academy mentor and train business, political and social leaders across the globe. Lorato has been attending various leadership and training courses for over 13 years at this prestigious Academy in India. Lorato is currently pursuing a variety of entrepreneurial initiatives and interests.

PHUTI MARGARET MABOKELA

Having been an integral player in AUS AFRICA since the company’s inception, Phuti has found her niche position in the company as Inventory Manager. Her business ethics, enthusiasm and ambition have been great contributors to her advancement in the organisation. No challenge is too daunting for Phuti. Her handling of product management and distribution as well as liaising with the other departments, has resulted in close to zero stock losses and highly satisfied clients. Phuti is a valuable asset to AUS AFRICA.
